San Giovanni Rotondo is definitely the Pilgrimage place that Saint Padre Pio built.
We have been taking pilgrims to San Giovanni Rotondo since the 1970's and we never tire of going there.
At one time the Gargano was a very remote place, but now it is very accessible.
And just a few kilometers away is the Cave of Saint Michael a Pilgrimage site since the 6th century.
First at San Giovanni Rotondo you can go on a tour and see: Padre Pio's cell Choir loft where he received the stigmata Museum of articles about his life All this is part of guided tour Outdoor Way of the Cross Padre Pio's tomb

Cave of Saint Michael
You certainly want to go to Mont Sant Angelo and descend into the Cave of Saint Michael.
The Shrine of St. Michael in the Gargano was the first monument of the Archangel’s that we ever visited.
We pray that Michael and his Shrine touch you in the same way they have touched us, as we have been called back, again and again.
Come with us now, and experience the Kingdom, the Glory and the Power of God as shown to us through His Angels, especially the Prince of the Angels, our Michael. SIDEBAR The dvds listed were taped at n Giovanni Rotondo and the Cave of Saint Michael locations and provide you with an armchair Pilgrimage. SIDEBAR
